"An eccentric princess from the Kingdom of Snails, newly imagined from a beloved Korean folktale

Once upon a time, a poor young man living alone brought home a snail. Without his knowing, the snail transformed into a woman, prepared his meals, and helped with the housework. But what if the Snail Bride had descendants?

Inspired by the well-known Korean folktale The Snail Bride, The Snail Princess follows a princess who secretly discovers and reads the forbidden tale of the Snail Bride, who long ago transformed into a human and entered the human world. In the Kingdom of Snails, the story is kept strictly secret—lest anyone become curious about the human world and attempt something just as extraordinary. With charming characters and a lively imagination, the author gives a traditional tale a fresh twist that contemporary children can easily enjoy and relate to."
