Audrey cannot take a rest even for a second to protect its family, friends, and the community beyond. His investigation process has become more delicate and Audrey and his staff are better united than ever. These elements well shows how attractive this story is.
The book shows us how to solve three different cases in the neighborhood.
The first episode, ‘The Ghost in the Playground’, begins from the children’s story that a ghost appears in the playground every night. Audrey overheard this story, and thought it should protect children because it is a grown up dog even if it is a small dog. Audrey decided to overcome its fear and identify who the ghost really was. However, after realizing that the ghost was actually a small child, Audrey began investigating what was going on.
In the second episode, ‘The Letter in Fragrance’, Audrey, Beom and friends visited So-Jeong who was in the hospital. They discovered the letter to someone who got hurt. If the letter was meant to reach someone who was sick, they thought they should find that person who meant to receive the letter. After opening the letter, Audrey and children were puzzled and didn’t know what to do, because the letter was erased by rain and full of strange foreign language. The writer of this letter lived in Texas, and heard the news that the receive was wounded in Hanoi, Vietnam? Then, why did this letter fall on to the Korean traditional dog, Audrey?
The third episode, ‘A Stone during Midnight’, shows the way Audrey proceed the investigation to find out the criminal who broke windows continuously. Audrey could not handle people in the neighborhood accused each other, so it decided to begin the investigation. However, the criminal didn’t leave clues by choosing blind spots of CCTV. In the end, the clue was discovered where it seemed totally unrelated to the case after persistent efforts of Audrey.
