Written and Illustrated by Lee Hae Jin

This book is not like other usual books turning pages from left to right, instead, readers have to turn pages from bottom to top. There is a small and round window which the sun shines through on top, and there are children, dogs, and cats rolling themselves under the sunshine coming through toast-shaped window at bottom. When the outside scenery is changed in the window, the sunshine toast is also changed. When we put one spoon and another spoon filled with cats on this sunshine toast, and then it’s the turn of a soft dog on it with a butter knife. As time goes by until the soft dog becomes mushy, we sprinkle a pinch of wind coming through the window on this toast. When clouds pass by outside the window on top, those clouds already are on the toast at bottom just like savory mayo. This book is a sweet picture book for nap, and also a toast picture book with savory scent. The book has shown its unique favor using a fresh toast based on familiar material like sunshine and nap. Windows, sunshine, and toasts are all yellow and the taste of this yellow color is crispy and mushy.

The illustrations of this book easily provoke intuitive imagination. The window on cover page has holes, so readers can easily peek through nap inside the window. The four sides of the book are colored in yellow to promote united feeling. The illustrator has chosen fresh cheek yellow color to make balance in tones of both inside pages and outside cover. This small and cozy picture book is filled with yellow sunshine energy. The sunshine in this picture book would make things in the world warm and cozy ever after.
