Book Information & Summary
Written by Kim Jang-sung / Illustrated by Han Soo-im
An old man takes care of the chores in an empty house after all of his family members go out. One day, he sees a group of birds flying and begins worrying about his crop field. He heads toward the field to look after the crops. But, on his way to the field, some young men having a short break ask him to join them. The old man suddenly forgets his crops. Cool drinks and yummy food. There's nothing to rush for the old man. Finally, he reaches the crop field. Sitting down under the scarecrow and feeling the warm sunshine, he gets asleep. The old man snoozes and stops caring about birds eating crops. Birds aggressively ruin the field. Then, here come the kids. Shortly after they get home, they realize their grandfather has left for the field. "He must be in the field, again!", "He might feel bored. Let's go!" "Whooa, whooa!" The kids run to the field and the birds fly again out of the blue. And the old man finally wakes up. His grandchildren are here! He is smiling. The autumn finally has come!
